Design Perspectives: A center that fills the senses, and makes sense, too

Seattle Center doesn't make much sense when you see it for the first time, according to Leslie “Gia” Clark, a first year graduate student at the University of Washington. A newcomer to Seattle, she visited Seattle's “living room” with a group of fellow students working on a redesign of the center for their landscape architecture studio.

“None of us liked Seattle Center when we first went there, but it grew on us.” Over time, Clark said she and her classmates saw it functions very well.
