Darren Teal joined SPVV Landscape Architects of Spokane as a landscape architect. Teal obtained his license in 2010, and has eight years of landscape design experience, along with a background in land planning, civil planning, and designing plans for stormwater and erosion control. He is working on redevelopment of Hart Field. SPVV provides landscape architecture and planning.
KPFF Consulting Engineers promoted Sara Roberts to principal. Roberts joined the firm in 1995. She has worked on educational, transit and port facilities, and parking structures. Her projects include the Port of Seattle consolidated rental car facility. KPFF is a civil and structural engineering firm with a number of U.S. offices, including in Seattle.
Hart Crowser hired Pete Heltzel and Kelsey Donahue in the Edmonds office, Max Gummer in Portland, and Suzanne Faubl, Marc Miller, Kerry Hosken, Nimfa Josol and Rebecca Ramsey in Seattle. Heltzel is a fisheries biologist helping the city of Bellevue determine fish populations in urban streams. His clients have included the Corps of Engineers and energy companies. Donahue is a marine biologist supporting habitat work in Cook Inlet in Alaska. Gummer is a geotechnical engineer who previously worked for the Oregon Department of Transportation. He is working on waterfront and roadway projects. Faubl is an environmental engineer who will assist with projects for the US Forest Service and City Light. Hosken is an environmental engineer with experience in wildlife biology. He will support stormwater and remediation projects. Miller is a field geologist who will work on the SR99 bored tunnel in Seattle. Josol is a senior accounting clerk with 22 years of experience. Ramsey is a project assistant with a bachelor's from Hamilton College. Hart Crowser is a Seattle-based environmental and engineering consulting firm.

Timothy G. Bretz joined HDJ Design Group as its third principal, filling the vacancy created by Brian Hoppers' retirement. Bretz will be in the Pasco office as an operations principal helping to grow business in eastern Washington. He is a contractor and has 30-plus years of civil engineering and construction experience, including in residential and commercial development, public works, construction management and surveying. He also has experience in project development finance and has been an owner's expert witness.
Jacobs Associates engineering firm promoted Jeremy Johnson in the Seattle office to lead associate. He has 15 years of experience in geotechnical, civil, and environmental engineering. He has done geotechnical and structural engineering analyses for projects that include the Fremont Siphon.
WHPacific hired Gail Hedden as human resources business partner, supporting employees in the Alaska and Oregon offices. She has more than 18 years of experience in human resources in industries that include software, retail and civil engineering and in venture capital. WHPacific provides architecture, building engineering, land development, landscape architecture, surveying, scanning and water resources.
The Blueline Group hired Katy Mitrofanov as a planning coordinator. Mitrofanov has more than five years of planning experience on residential, commercial, and public works projects. Blueline provides civil engineering and land use planning.
Scott Ward joined Jensen Maritime Consultants as a naval architect in the new office in New Orleans. He has experience in design review, project management and operations, and previously worked at American Bureau of Shipping. Jensen is headquartered in Seattle.
