Bumgardner hired Clayton Smith as a project manager, Trip Reeds as an intern architect, Rachael Krebsbach as office manager and bookkeeper, and Arielle Swissa as an intern in the interiors department. Smith was a founding principal of GGLO and was a staff architect at Bumgardner in the early 1980s. He has experience in mixed-use housing, site planning, hospitality and custom residential design. Reeds worked at KSQ at Architects in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for three years as BIM manager and on student housing. He is working on a mixed-use project at Northwest 85th and First Avenue Northwest. Krebsbach holds a double degree in finance and accounting from University of Montana, and has six years of management and financial experience. Swissa received a bachelor's in interior design from Washington State University in 2013 and interned at McKinstry in Spokane. She is working on housing. Bumgardner is a Seattle-based architecture and interior design firm.

Landau Associates promoted Devan Brandt to senior technician in Edmonds and Sierra Mott to staff scientist in Tacoma. Lauren Evans was hired as a marketing assistant and Sophia Dien as an intern. Brandt manages equipment and supplies, and provides lab and field support to geotechnical and environmental groups. He has a year of experience in environmental and geotechnical practices. Mott has two years of experience in environmental sampling and investigations, and is involved in site assessments, vapor intrusion and data management. Evans has a year of experience in marketing and public relations. She holds a bachelor's in business administration. Dien is assisting the geotechnical group for the summer. She is pursuing a degree in civil engineering at Gonzaga University. Edmonds-based Landau provides geotechnical and environmental engineering, remediation, permitting and compliance services.

Coates Design Architects hired Robert Hutchinson, an architect with over 35 years of experience in public and private sector work. His projects include Olympia Fire Station No. 4, Bothell City Hall master plan and Green River Community College Branch Campus. In 2013, he won the National Design Award for Olympia Fire Department Training Campus. He is working on the Harrison Urgent Care Facility. Bainbridge Island-based Coates designs custom homes and public works.

Metrix Engineers hired Reid Herron as a project manager and Emily Haug as office manager. Herron has worked in mechanical engineering for 27 years, including construction administration, commissioning and testing/balancing activities. He is working on Seattle World School at TT Minor. Haug holds two University of Washington undergraduate degrees. She will oversee bookkeeping, in-house marketing and administrative activities. Metrix is a Renton-based mechanical engineering firm.

BergerABAM hired Adam Bergman as an engineer in Federal Way. Bergman has over 12 years of structural engineering and project management experience on bridge and waterfront projects. His work includes wharf and floating bridge projects in Grays Harbor and Bellingham. The firm provides civil and structural engineering, planning, environmental services, public involvement, construction management and support, surveying, and underwater inspection services.

MacEwan

Ridolfi, a Seattle-based environmental engineering and scientific consulting firm, hired Allison MacEwan as principal engineer. MacEwan is a water resources engineer with 30 years of experience that includes ecosystem restoration, watershed planning and management, hydrology and hydraulics, fish passage, NEPA services and civil engineering design. She will work with the natural resources team and lead water resources engineering efforts.

Hart Crowser hired Mark Bryant as a senior associate environmental engineer and Shomari Anderson as a geologist in the Seattle headquarters. Bryant has 35 years of industry experience, and has directed environmental projects involving environmental site characterization and remediation. Anderson has seven years as a geologist and is supporting Northgate Link instrumentation for Sound Transit. Hart Crowser is an environmental and engineering consulting firm, with offices also in Edmonds, Vancouver, Portland and Anchorage.

Century West Engineering hired Samantha Door as an airport planner in Ellensburg. Door has six years of experience in airport operations and management, including assisting with management of airport construction projects and airport compliance with Federal Aviation regulations.
