Seattle-based Framework Cultural Placemaking hired Jeff Arango and Izzy Cannell to its staff. Arango was associate principal at Berk Consulting, and the planning director for Langley as well as Essex Junction, Vermont. He is working on improving the downtowns of Olympia, Lakewood, Sammamish, Bainbridge Island and Poulsbo. Cannell has experience in land use planning, public outreach, housing policy, capital planning and parking policy. Framework provides architecture, urban design and community engagement.

Coffman Engineers hired Jon Kapis as a senior fire protection engineering technician in Oakland, Calif., and David Gramlich as a fire protection engineer in Seattle. Kapis has 37 years of design, implementation and commissioning experience on fire alarm, smoke control and life safety systems. Gramlich has over seven years of international experience. In the U.S., he is working on mixed-use projects and historical buildings. Coffman provides civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and fire protection engineering, commissioning, corrosion control and land surveying.

Seattle-based Quantum Consulting Engineers hired Tony Ho as a CAD drafter. He has over 10 years of experience as a structural CAD drafter. Quantum provides structural engineering.

Hyslop is a designer who is working on Bellevue College Residence Hall. Lachner is the Seattle office's regional marketing and business development manager. She has over a decade of experience in A&E. Scranton is NAC's knowledge and innovation leader, and uses research to help design learning environments. Chouinard is an architectural drafter who is working on Quincy Junior High School. Alvarado is a designer who is working on Tillicum Middle School in Bellevue. Link, Hyslop, Scranton and Chouinard work in Spokane. Jain, Deaver, Lachner and Alvarado are in Seattle. NAC provides planning, design, engineering, and capital facilities consulting services.

In Seattle, it hired Lindsay Pearsall as director of human resources, Fasih Khan as a project environmental engineer, Kaitlin Schrup as a GIS analyst, Breeyn Greer as a staff environmental engineer and Caroline Van Slyke as a senior CAD specialist. The firm hired Joey Miramontez as an accounting assistant in Bainbridge Island. Augustine has over 15 years of water resources and environmental experience in water supply, aquifer storage and recovery, and solid waste projects. Pearsall has over 10 years of human resources management and recruiting experience. Khan has nine years of environmental compliance and remediation experience on urban sites in the Puget Sound region. Schrup recently finished a MS in geospatial technologies from the University of Washington and worked for Pierce County Public Works. Greer has an MS in civil engineering from Virginia Tech and experience on watershed and mining projects. Van Slyke has worked on civil, mechanical, structural, environmental and geologic projects.
