AIA Project of the Month: UW's new Conibear Shellhouse is ‘so Seattle'

The Conibear Shellhouse at the University of Washington has a sustainable and modernist design, standing in contrast to traditionalist rowing facilities around the nation.

At the recent Beijing Olympics, the University of Washington had more athletes rowing than any other university in the world. They brought three medals home to the shores of Lake Washington: two gold and one silver.
