I think it's great that someone actually kept track of all that data from the Green Build 2007 event. I attended Green Festival Seattle 2008 and it was in the Convention Center. It was a huge event and one thing that I noticed was that there was a lot of recycling containers for paper, plastic, aluminum, and composting for all the food waste. From the sound of it, someone that put on the Green Festival here in Seattle took note of what could be improved upon from events like Green Build 2007 in Chicago.

This is a lot of waste, but I think it's still green. While the organizers could have handled it better. I am sure they learned from this mistake. Also I am sure the people who attended the event learned a lot from it.

Holy cow. That's disgusting for an organization like USGBC.

I know we have a long way to go, but when the leaders of the "green" industry have yet to catch on to the idea that composting or recycling still means resources are being wasted... well it's discouraging to say the least.
