The DJC has adopted a portion of highway on Interstate 90, east of Issaquah. Here’s a picture of the handy sign to prove it:

Hi Nate - the way it works is you pay for a stretch of road to be cleaned. Then other people do the dirty work for you!

I’ve always wondered about those adopt a road programs. Do you actually have to go there and pick up litter, or are you just sponsoring the trash clean-up that DOT performs?
