Reader boards displaying the arrival of next train seem to be commonplace for rail systems, including BART and Metro. In San Franciso the bus stops along Columbus Avenue displayed the remaining time, but don't remember them on other arterials.

I love this Shawna! I catch the Bus everyday and it gets so irritating when you donn't know if the Bus in running on time. Let's take riding the Bus in the Snow for example: I waited 2 1/2 hours for a bus that never showed up and so luckily when one did it was going to Downtown Seattle. I'm on mybus.com now, no more triplanner for me!

I was excited to check out the My Bus option. It's exactly the same as the information that's available on Metro's website: http://trackerloc.kingcounty.gov/

The problem with this is, you get a lot of "No Info" responses.

I've seen the digital ETA boards in Australia. It's nice to know if you've already missed your bus and should go do something else instead of waiting for a bus you think is late, and then never comes!

Try www.onebusaway.org, the interface is MUCH better than MyBus. And the mobile version rocks.
