World’s ugliest buildings

Virtual Tourist is once again posting its list of the World’s Ugliest Buildings. Among those selected: Paris’ Centre Pompidou, the Royal Ontario Building in Toronto and the National Library in Pristina, Kosovo.

We know what Mark thinks. Does anyone else dare chime in on Seattle’s missteps?

Hat tip to Architectural Record.

The one that first comes to mind is the Qwest building at 7th and Olive. It’s an depressingly uninspired concrete monolith that sucks the life out of an area that could be a lively extension of the retail core.

Ugliest building in Seattle is for now the former Regence Group headquarters at the corner of Terry and Howell.Think three story grungy concrete prison. Slated for demolition.
