Adams

Hubbard Radio Seattle named Lisa Adams program director of Click 98.9. She worked at stations in Boise for Townsquare Media and in Portland for CBS. In Seattle she worked for Sandusky Radio, now Hubbard Radio, Infinity and Entercom.

Community Economic Revitalization Board

The State Department of Commerce named Steven Anderson the Community Economic Revitalization Board chair. He has been vice chair since September 2013 and represents small business around the Columbia River. Anderson is president of Meier Architecture & Engineering. Here are other re-appointments: James Jaime representing Indian Tribes, Daniel J. Seydel representing small businesses west of Puget Sound, Richard Bogert representing small business east of the Cascades and west of the Columbia, and Nicole Grant as public representative.

Friends of Youth

Friends of Youth said it has two returning board members: Ellen Boyer and William Savoy. Boyer is CFO of Seattle-based business and technology consulting firm Logic20/20. Savoy is the former president of Vulcan, Inc. Friends of Youth provides therapeutic services for youth and their families to improve their emotional stability and self-sufficiency. It has 22 program sites and services in 18 cities.

WorkForce Central

WorkForce Central in Tacoma announced two appointments to the Tacoma-Pierce County Workforce Development Council, one of 12 workforce development boards in Washington. New members are Mary Matusiak, Vocational Rehabilitation Supervisor with the state Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, and Kendrick Stewart, Region 3 administrator of Department of Department of Social and Health Services.

Port of Astoria

ASTORIA — The Port of Astoria has named an executive from Washington state as its fifth leader in less than three years. The Daily Astorian reports Jim Knight has been director of the Port of Olympia marine terminal since July 2013. Knight was chosen Tuesday to succeed Hank Bynaker, who resigned Sept. 11 after 14 months as the port's last hired executive director.

Lewis M. Horowitz, Lane Powell president, and Malcolm Lindquist, co-chair of the Financial Institutions Industry Team, have been selected as Fellows of the American Bar Foundation, an honorary organization of lawyers, judges and legal scholars who have demonstrated dedication to their communities and the legal profession. Members are nominated by Fellows in their jurisdiction and elected by the board of the foundation.

Banner Bank has hired Tom MacArthur to join the real estate lending team focused on the Edmonds area as a residential loan officer. He has 18 years in residential and banking lending.

Washington State University, Koru

Washington State University and Koru, a Seattle-based startup, have formed a partnership to help students find jobs after college. Teams of students tackle challenges with coaching from executives at companies like zulily, REI and Payscale, and present their plans to executives. Koru launched in 2013, and has partnerships with Whitman College, Georgetown University, Pomona College and USC. It is expanding to San Francisco in September.

Propel Insurance

Tacoma-based Propel Insurance said it has acquired Assurety Northwest. It will combine Propel's experience in claims, loss control and commercial/comp expertise, with Assurety's large team of benefits, commercial and personal lines professionals, including principals Jeff Bieker and Bryan Ludwick who will join Propel as partners in the Portland office. Propel offers property, casualty, risk management, worker's comp, employee benefits, personal insurance and other products.
