Benton-Franklin Superior Court

Gov. Jay Inslee named Alex Ekstrom, an assistant U.S. attorney from Richland, as a judge in Benton-Franklin Superior Court. He fills the seat left vacant by Judge Sal Mendoza Jr., who was appointed to U.S. District Court in Eastern Washington. Ekstrom has been a federal prosecutor since 2008.

Itron of Liberty Lake named W. Mark Schmitz executive vice president and chief financial officer. He has 40 years of experience in finance in manufacturing, service, retail and technology industries, and most recently was CFO of Alghanim Industries in Kuwait.

Oles Morrison Rinker & Baker, a law firm focused on construction law, government contracts and commercial litigation, added Alix K. Schroeder to the Government Contracts and Construction Law practice groups in Seattle. Her practice focuses on government contracts.

Her Interactive named Penny Milliken as its new CEO. She has more than 20 years of entertainment experience and replaces Stuart Moulder who has served as CEO since May 2011. Milliken's background includes theme parks, motion pictures, animation, television, home entertainment, new media and e-commerce. Her Interactive creates mystery adventure games and apps.

Port of Everett

Reardanz

The Port of Everett Commission hired Les Reardanz as the new CEO starting Nov. 16. He is deputy executive director and oversees environmental cleanups, public policy, communications, human resources, and legal and contacting activities. Reardanz is a captain in the Naval Reserve and has more than 20 years of leadership experience. He worked as the municipal legal advisor for Bellingham and was project manager for the city's Waterfront District Development. Outgoing CEO John Mohr retires in January.

Kim Carhee was hired as vice president and loan operations manager for Seattle Bank. She has worked at KeyBank, Boston Private Bank & Trust and Regal Financial Bank.

ImpactFlow

ImpactFlow, an online marketplace that connects donors with nonprofits, opened a new office at 2420 N.E. Sandy Blvd. in Portland, led by Tyler Foreman and Sean Kvingedal, who are co-CEOs. Armon Moore is chief creative officer and Paul Burdick is vice president of engineering. All four founded the company. ImpactFlow recently doubled its staff in Portland, and is expanding its outreach in Seattle and the Bay Area.

Northeastern University

Northeastern University-Seattle said Paula Boyum, Ph.D., is the new associate dean. Boyum will oversee recruitment, enrollment and corporate partnership initiatives, manage career services programs and expand graduate degree programs and certificates. She replaces Angela Walmsley, who is moving into the Global Network at Northeastern University. Boyum has a 30-year career in higher education, most recently at Bellevue College.

N3

N3, an Atlanta-based provider of outsourced sales and marketing services for tech companies, said it is expanding in Bellevue by hiring more than 100 people in the next 60 days. N3 also has offices in Costa Rica, London and Dublin, and is opening a Shanghai office this fall.

Washington Women's Foundation

Washington Women's Foundation named N. Elizabeth (Beth) McCaw president, replacing Carla Lewis, who is retiring after six years. McCaw, 43, has a legal career and experience leading member organizations and nonprofits. She retired in 2011 from Stokes, Lawrence's estate planning group. The foundation has 500 members who have invested $14 million in nonprofits over 18 years.
