Caplan

Port of Seattle CEO Ted J. Fick named Dave Caplan director of the port's new Office of Strategic Initiatives. Caplan also will direct the Central Procurement Office. He was a senior vice president for the global agricultural company Agco Corp. and held management positions at Paccar. Caplan is trained in LEAN and is a Six Sigma Black Belt.

Seattle Repertory Theatre named Kristin Leahey literary director. Leahey has worked in literary departments at Northlight Theatre in Illinois and Woolly Mammoth Theatre in Washington, D.C.

Seattle Arts Commission

Phillips

Vivian Phillips, director of marketing and communications for Seattle Theatre Group, is the new chair of Seattle Arts Commission. Phillips succeeds Michael Seiwerath who will become vice chair. Phillips was appointed to the commission in 2013. She oversees marketing, communications and social media for three historic theatres in Seattle, and has worked for ACT Theatre, Langston Hughes Performing Arts Institute and Mayor Paul Schell.

Skagit Bank

Burlington-based Skagit Bank hired John Cruikshank as vice president and commercial loan officer based in the Holly Street office in Bellingham. He has 25 years of experience as a community banker in Whatcom County.

Citi Private Bank's North America Asian Clients Group is expanding into Seattle. The group has a presence in New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Olive Goh, who joined Citi Private Bank in 2014 as director and private banker, will oversee the Seattle market. Citi calls Seattle “one of the world's fastest growing ultra high net worth segments.”

Washington State University

Kim Zentz, former CEO of Innovate Washington Foundation, has been named director of Washington State University's engineering and technology management program. The WSU alumna has worked in utilities, alternative energy technology, economic development and transportation. The ETM program lets professional engineers learn skills in managing projects, people and technology.
