Management by Design: Learning from failure

Abatting average of 0.400 is considered excellent in professional baseball. A shooting record above 60 percent is outstanding in professional basketball. Yet these results mean that the top hitters in baseball fail to get a hit more than half of the time, and the basketball players miss 40 percent of their shots.

Every time they miss, they keep their focus on the next opportunity to improve.
