In Seattle, Walsh Construction Co. promoted Greg Linnell to senior project manager; Fik Mulugeta to assistant project manager; Sean Hamelin to superintendent; Alex Kilcup to concrete trade assistant superintendent; and Nick Silbaugh, Eric Storhaug, Eric Brandon, Jeremiah Phillips and Jonathan Chow to assistant superintendents. Linnell joined Walsh in 2003 as a project engineer and was promoted in 2007 to project manager. He is working on the Lake City Family Housing and LIHI Little Saigon projects. Mulugeta joined the company in 2013 as a project engineer and was promoted in 2017 to project engineer II. He is working at the Bellevue College Student Housing project. Hamelin joined in 2016 as a journeyman carpenter, and is working on a project in Grays Harbor. Kilcup started at the company in 2013 as a laborer and was promoted in 2015 to foreman. He is on the Spring District II project. Silbaugh joined in 2015 as a project engineer, and is working on the Ainsworth & Dunn project. Storhaug, Brandon, Phillips and Chow all joined in 2014 as project engineers. Storhaug and Brandon are working on the Spring District II project; Phillips is on the Wesley Homes Des Moines project; and Chow is on the DESC North 96th Supportive Housing project.

Tony Stewart returned to Skanska, as vice president of design construction integration in Seattle. Stewart comes from executive roles at McKinstry and the Northwest division of Howard S. Wright, a Balfour Beatty company. Prior to that, he spent 12 years at Skanska overseeing business development for the Northwest, and 10 years as an architect with NBBJ.

In Burlington, Trico Companies promoted Brian Jones and Kyle Nilson to project managers and John VanValkenburg to equipment manager; and hired Reilly Desmul as project engineer. Jones, LEED Green Associate, has 14 years of architectural design experience and five years of construction and management experience. He has been with Trico since 2014. Nilson grew up operating heavy equipment for his family's construction company before earning a bachelor's degree in construction management from Central Washington University. He joined Trico in 2016. VanValkenburg has 23 years of experience in industrial and heavy equipment maintenance. He joined the company last year as a heavy equipment mechanic. Desmul was an intern with Denizen Development Group in Seattle. She recently earned a bachelor's degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Washington.

Lane

Greg Lane is the new executive vice president of the Building Industry Association of Washington. Lane has 20 years of executive and administrative experience, as Deputy Secretary of State for three years, as president and CEO of the public interest network TVW, and as deputy chief of staff for former Attorney General Rob McKenna. Lane replaces Art Castle, who is retiring but will remain with the association through year end to assist with the transition.



Red Dot

Janus

Red Dot, a Tukwila-based manufacturer of mobile HVAC systems, promoted Nick Janus to president. Janus was CFO and general manager of Red Dot's European operations, and leader of its Chinese operations. He previously was vice president of finance at C.C. Filson Co. in Seattle, and served in senior finance positions at Philips in Boston and Seattle.




Auburn Mechanical

Lautman

Brien Lautman was promoted to project executive at Auburn Mechanical. Lautman has been with the company since 2009 and manages the company's technology projects. Auburn Mechanical is an HVAC and plumbing contractor.
