The Washington State Fair is celebrating the opening of Agriplex and Arena, two new buildings at the fairgrounds in Puyallup.
Construction cost about $7.4 million for the 12,000-square-foot Arena and 22,000-square-foot Agriplex.
The Agriplex has an eight-station milking parlor, exhibitor area and offices. The Arena will show animals during the fair. Both buildings can be rented when the fair is closed.
The buildings replace Evergreen Hall, which was one of the oldest buildings at the fair until it burned down in 2014.
Owner: Washington State Fair
General contractor: Pease Construction
Architect: TCF Architecture
