Seattle-based construction consulting firm Hainline & Associates named Jim Stoner chief operating officer. Stoner, PE, CMVP, has more than 20 years of experience as a contractor, design engineer, owner representative and expert witness. He has been with the company since 2006 and has worked on Safeco Field, Skyline at First Hill, Lincoln Square and the Four Seasons Hotel.

Geotechnical construction firm Hayward Baker hired Mark Rohrbach as senior engineer in its Seattle office. Rohrbach has more than 15 years of experience in geotechnical engineering. Before joining HB, he was a senior engineer with E3RA Inc. and Lachel & Associates. He has worked on power plants, dams, subways, elevated trains, large sewer and transit tunnel projects. Hayward Baker is part of the Keller Group of companies.

HNTB

Keith Powley, senior construction manager in HNTB's Seattle office, earned his Certified Construction Manager credential. In order to earn the certificate, construction managers must meet education criteria and field experience, and understand construction-management best practices. The CCM is accredited by the American National Standards Institute and the International Organization for Standardization 17024 standard.

Harry Sisson joined Adolfson & Peterson Construction's Pacific Northwest office as senior project manager. Sisson is working on the Novus Energy project in Boardman, Oregon. He has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, nearly 16 years of AEC experience and served four years in the Army Corps of Engineers.

Sequoyah Electric hired Sam DeLano as electrical engineering intern. DeLano is studying electrical engineering at the University of Washington, where he will be a senior this fall.

Watts Constructors hired Eric Simpson as estimator in the Gig Harbor office. Simpson recently moved from Hawaii. He holds bachelor's degrees in construction management and human resource management, and has more than 20 years of construction experience.

Construction lawyer Todd Henry relocated his practice to Inslee Best Doezie & Ryder in Bellevue, where he is of counsel. Henry previously was a partner at Oles Morrison Rinker & Baker in Seattle, where he had practiced since 2002. Henry had a 20-year career in construction management in the Seattle area before completing law school in 2001. He is a contributor to the DJC's “Nuts and Bolts” construction blog and is a member of the Washington and Idaho bars.

Hunter is consulting on design, maintenance, due diligence and modernizations of elevators throughout the Pacific Northwest. He previously managed Centric Elevator in Portland, has 16 years of industry experience and is a qualified elevator inspector. He holds a bachelor's degree from Oregon State University, an MBA and a doctorate in lift engineering management.

Cascade Windows

Vinyl window and door manufacturer Cascade Windows bought Paramount Windows, one of the largest window makers in Arizona. The acquisition is expected to boost Cascade's production capacity and broaden its geographic reach. Cascade has plants in Spokane, Portland and Salt Lake City. It is a portfolio company of Altamont Capital Partners.
