Gray

Bouten Construction Co. promoted Kyle Gray from project engineer to project manager. Gray joined the company in March 2015 to work on the Kadlec Regional Medical Center River Pavilion expansion in Richland. He holds an applied science degree in project management from Columbia Basin College. Bouten has offices in Spokane and the Tri-Cities.

MBA of King and Snohomish Counties

Mike Walsh of Terrene Homes was named 2017 board president for the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties. His term begins Jan. 1. Other officers are: Joseph Irons of Irons Brothers Construction, immediate past president; Erich Armbruster of Ashworth Homes, first vice president; Sunshine Kapus of Gamut360 Holdings, second vice president; and Jayson Buechler of Housing Capital Co., secretary. New board members are Luellen Smith of Rhino Wine Cellars & Cooling Systems, Kevin Ballard of Village Life Homes and Kelley Molstad of Toll Brothers Seattle.

WSU

A team of Washington State University construction management students recently earned second place in the Design-Build Institute of America's national student competition in Las Vegas. Thirty-one teams from 23 universities participated. The WSU team was Marie Landsverk, Steven Bradshaw, Sam Rykken, Christie Andresen and Connor Schneider. David Gunderson, associate professor of WSU's School of Design and Construction, was the team advisor.
