The Portland Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association appointed Patricia Dunn to the 2017-18 Executive Committee. Dunn is CFO for Siteworks Design|Build in Portland. She has been a member since 2009, is a past chapter president, and served on the Education Committee and board of directors.

Apollo Mechanical Contractors and Apollo Inc. have logged a .038 experience modification rate, the lowest of all construction contractors in Washington for the eighth straight year, according to the Kennewick-based firms.

Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King County

More than 800 supporters of Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King County helped raise more than $690,000 at Habitat's 2017 Beyond the Build Luncheon held last month in Seattle. Funds raised will help support Habitat's home ownership, home repair and community revitalization programs. Volunteer Bob Moore was recognized at the luncheon for this longterm support of the organization.

In its Seattle office, Lease Crutcher Lewis promoted Jarrett Moore and Jon Strickling to superintendents and Justin Grindol to field superintendent; and hired Bill Sweeney and Zach Amende as superintendents. Moore has been with Lewis since 2007 and has focused on life sciences projects. Strickling has been with the company since 2009 and graduated from the Superintendent Career Training Program through the Carpenters International Training Fund. Grindol has been at Lewis for a year and has 16 years of industry experience. He holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from the University of Washington. Sweeney has been in construction for 30 years and has focused on healthcare projects. He holds a construction management certificate from the UW. Amende has 19 years of construction experience.

Swinerton Builders

Chubb



Gary Chubb has become a project executive at Swinerton Builders Seattle, where he is rolling out the Sustainable Living Innovations Program. Chubb has over 27 years of experience in managing design and construction, and is a graduate of the University of Washington.

Colvos Construction

Devin Page and Anders Bjorn formed Colvos Construction in Tacoma. The firm offers pre-construction, general contracting, construction management and design-build services. Page is president and Bjorn is vice president. Page previously was vice president at Rush Commercial Construction, and also worked at Andersen Construction and Skanksa. Bjorn has 14 years of construction experience and holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from Brigham Young University Idaho. He previously was a project manager at Andersen, and also worked at Advanced Technology Construction and Turner Construction. Other team members are superintendent Jeff Bird, operations support manager Michelle Cartwright and project engineer Tim Callahan. Bird previously worked at Sellen Construction. Cartwright and Callahan came from Rush Commercial. Colvos intends to hire a project manager, project engineer and two superintendents this year.

AGC of America

A handful of Northwest firms recently won Willis Towers Watson Construction Safety Excellence Awards from the Associated General Contractors of America: Guy F. Atkinson Construction of Renton won first place in the Highway & Transportation category for under 400,000 worker hours; Cobra BEC of Spokane won first place in the Specialty category for 300,000-500,000 worker hours; Omega Morgan Millwright of Hillsboro, Oregon, won first place in the Heavy category for 200,000-1 million hours; and Goodfellow Bros. of Portland won second place in the Heavy category for under 200,000 hours.
