Skagit Regional Clinics — Riverbend

Skagit Regional Clinics has opened Riverbend, a clinic at 2320 Freeway Drive in Mount Vernon.

The two-story, 39,000-square-foot building includes urgent care, dermatology, pediatrics, labs and pharmacy services.

The project cost $14 million.

The building is adjacent to Interstate5 and was designed to be recognizable on all sides, with an easily identifiable main entrance facing the freeway and a two-story galleria with full-height glazing.

The space had to work for multiple providers working in different specialties. Shared work areas help to eliminate wasted circulation. In primary care areas, an open spine connects each suite, reducing the number of footsteps between each exam and treatment room.

In more specialized services, a centralized open plan with a glass-enclosed area allows providers to work together.
