Since Harborview moved to its First Hill location in 1931, it has undergone several expansions and facility upgrades.
It is hard to pinpoint the moment years ago when I made the connection between doing calculations to solve engineering problems and how that helps people stay alive and become healthy. The joy and satisfaction of creating healing environments motivates many of us, and the challenge to assist health care providers as they expand and upgrade their facilities continues.
