The Sound Transit Maintenance and Operations Base is part of the city, just like light rail stations and much of the line itself.
The first thing you notice about the Sound Transit Maintenance and Operations Base in Seattle's Sodo neighborhood is that it's clean. Everything looks in place on the pristine concrete floors. Rows of shiny light rail cars are nosed-in on each side, among steel steps and multi-level framing. Generous natural and artificial light floods the scene.
