Design Perspectives: Green wall grows into an urban farm at Stadium Place

The first phase of Stadium Place, also known as the North Lot, is under construction. Future residents might be lured by a locally grown salad. Really local. If all goes according to plan, they'll overlook a farm on their rooftop plaza.

One design concept shows edibles will grow in very controlled conditions under translucent tents that look like small sails over drum-shaped planters. The planters will supply on-site restaurants and residents during prime picking times.
