Art installation will honor 520 bridge's ‘Ramp to Nowhere'

Getting approvals hasn’t been easy, but the “Gate to Nowhere” project will cover one pier with mirrored plastic.

What is now called the “Ramp to Nowhere” in Seattle's Montlake area was designed in the 1960s to connect state Road 520 to an expressway that would have cut through neighborhoods and the Washington Park Arboretum.
