Hart Crowser

Hart Crowser hired Matt Smith as a hydrogeologist in the Seattle office. In Portland, it hired Rachel Pirot as an engineering geologist, Kaylan Smyth as an environmental engineer, and Melisa Schweitzer as a CAD drafter and GIS and geotechnical engineering software specialist. Smith served in the U.S. Navy and has a master's in geology from East Carolina University. He is working on environmental site assessments, ground-penetrating radar surveys, soil sampling, aquifer testing and low-flow groundwater sampling. Pirot served in the Air Force and has a master's in geology from Portland State University. She has worked on landslide, transportation and debris flow projects. She will support forestry, rockfall and transportation projects. Smyth holds a bachelor's in environmental engineering from the University of Oregon. He has worked on water supply projects from Portland to Beijing, and did abandoned mine remediation for the Forest Service. Schweitzer has 22 years of experience. She will support environmental remediation, habitat restoration and geotechnical projects. Hart Crowser is an environmental and engineering consulting firm, with offices also in Edmonds, Vancouver, Anchorage and Honolulu.
