In its Kirkland office, Otak hired Seungjin Baek as a senior water resources engineer, Cristina Haworth as a land use planner, Jesse Reynolds as a surface water planner and GIS analyst, and Marina Howard as a civil engineering designer. Baek holds a Ph.D. in civil and environmental engineering and has seven years of research and consulting experience, with an emphasis on hydrodynamic, sediment transport and water quality modeling projects. He is working on estuary restoration and stormwater facility evaluation projects. Haworth's experience includes integrated planning and zoning at city and neighborhood scales; land use and development law; and planning. She is working on projects for Medina and Shoreline. Reynolds has eight years experience performing GIS and GPS services. His fieldwork has included Resource Grade Trimble GPS, site remediation studies, conservation biology studies, river resource surveys, and avalanche control. He is working on projects for Everett and Burien. Howard was an engineering intern at Clackamas County and at private engineering firms. Howard earned her bachelor's in civil engineering from Santa Clara University. She is working on trails and a roundabout. Otak is an engineering, urban design, architecture and planning firm.
