MAPLE VALLEY — Three employees of Maple Valley-based PowerStudies, Inc. are buying the electrical engineering firm from Robert Fuhr, its founder and president.
The employees are Vice-President Ann Holliday, Principal Electrical Engineer Tam Tran and Chief Financial Officer Michelle Chouinard. The deal was announced in a press release, but the terms were not released.
Fuhr will remain as president for five years, and then work part-time on sales and training.
PowerStudies was founded in 1986, and helps businesses, governments and other groups reduce facility costs.
It specializes in power system studies and electrical safety training for commercial, industrial and utility clients.
The 14-person firm's clients include Key Arena and Safeco Field, Joint Base Lewis McChord and Disney.
PowerStudies will be designated as a women- and minority-owned business after the sale.
