SEATTLE — The Sheraton Seattle Hotel's Gingerbread Village has a Star Wars-inspired theme: “May the Holidays be with you.”
The hotel's culinary team worked with local designers to build the displays, which can be viewed until Jan. 3. This year's teams were CallisonRTKL and Hargis; Skanska; Bailly & Bailly; 4D Architects; Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties and Gelotte Hommas; and MG2.
The displays use an estimated 500 pounds of dough, 600 pounds of sugar, 180 pounds of egg whites, 160 pounds of rice cereal treats, 4 gallons of molasses, and hundreds of pounds of candy.
The event raises money for the Northwest Chapter of JDRF.
