Tina Christensen of legaard & christensen ApS will talk about “Scandinavian Design: humanism and functionality in practice” at 6 p.m. April 27 at the University of Washington's Architecture Hall 147.
The free talk is part of the UW department of architecture 2016 Spring Lecture Series.
Christensen is an architect from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. She graduated in 1990 from the School of Architecture in furniture design.
Christensen was a designer at IKEA of Sweden, and founder and owner of Form Design. In 2001 she and Kai Legaard founded legaard & christensen. Its work ranges from toys and tools, to chairs, sofas, furniture lines and even small houses.
