SEATTLE — Seattle Public Utilities is moving its Drainage and Wastewater South operations from Sodo to West Seattle.
The utility plans to remodel a two-story, 37,900-square-foot industrial building at 4500 W. Marginal Way S.W.
The updated space will have room for 145 employees, with offices, labs and support spaces for field crews.
SPU has issued a request for qualifications for architecture and engineering services. Qualifications are due by 2 p.m. May 17 to the city Department of Finance and Administrative Services.
A pre-submittal meeting is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Seattle Municipal Tower, Room 4080.
Construction is slated to begin in 2017.
