New Astoria park to honor immigrants

ASTORIA, Ore. (AP) — The city of Astoria could soon have a monument to the Scandinavian immigrants who played a part in the city's history.

The Daily Astorian reports that the City Council on Monday voted to work with the Astoria Scandinavian Heritage Association to create the Scandinavian Immigrant Park.
