In Salem, Oregon, West Consultants hired Robert Predosa as a staff engineer. In Bellevue, it hired Katie Messick as a geographic information systems specialist and Shelby Fowler as a hydraulic engineer. In San Diego, California, it hired Filippo Bressan as a senior hydraulic engineer. Predosa holds a master's in water resources engineering from Oregon State University. At West, he has mapped a floodplain at Cowiche Creek in Yakima County. Messick has 16 years of experience in hydraulics, hydrology, two years as a GIS specialist, and background as a botanist and field ecologist. At West, she worked on flood protection for Montesano. Fowler has five years of experience conducting hydrologic, hydraulic and coastal studies, and has worked for the Corps of Engineers. At West, he evaluated the effects of a bridge replacement in the Skagit River Valley for BNSF Railway Co. Bressan has over nine years of experience in hydraulic and water resources engineering, and has designed HEC-RAS hydraulic and sediment transport models to assess impacts of hydropower dams. He has worked on the Imperial County Hydrology Manual at West.
