Deal struck over illegal skate park

SEATTLE — The city and 35th North announced they have agreed to settle a civil suit the city brought against the Capitol Hill skateboard shop over an unauthorized skate park on Green Lake's Duck Island.

The concrete bowl was built as part of a contest sponsored by Transworld Skateboarding magazine and Nike. According to the city, a video of the work was submitted by or on behalf of 35th North.
