Group tries to save old Idaho theater

LEWISTON, Idaho (AP) — A task force is working to save a more than 100-year-old church-turned-theatre in Lewiston from demolition.

The Lewiston Tribune reports the Anne Bollinger Performing Arts Center Task Force wants the 111-year-old sandstone church building, commonly known as the former home of the Lewiston Civic Theatre, to be referred to by its official name, which comes from opera singer and Lewiston native Anne Bollinger.
