Seattle Architecture Foundation will offer a tour of Capitol Hill Urban Cohousing at 1722 12th Ave. from 6 to 8 p.m. June 30.

Grace Kim and Mike Mariano live there and are co-founders of the Seattle architecture firm Schemata Workshop. They will host the event to benefit SAF as part of its Design Soiree series. Drinks and appetizers will be served at the rooftop farm, which has views of the Olympic Mountains and city skyline.

Schemata Workshop designed the community of nine homes clustered around a courtyard and Kim and Mariano developed it with eight other families.

You can watch a 2017 TED Talk by Kim on “How cohousing can make us happier (and live longer)” at http://tiny.cc/s0kgty/.

Tickets are $35, or $30 for members, at http://tiny.cc/9vz1sy/.
