Seattle Architecture Foundation will hold a tour of Fire Station 32 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. July 24 at 3715 S.W. Alaska St. in West Seattle's Alaska Junction neighborhood.
Bohlin Cywinski Jackson is hosting the tour to benefit the foundation as part of SAF's Design Soiree series.
BCJ will talk about designing the LEED platinum station, and firefighters will be on hand. Goody bags will be given out.
Fire Station 32 embraces its role as a public building. Through the large glass wall, morning equipment checks are visible to commuters, a fire truck is illuminated in the evening, and people can watch the trucks and firefighters in action.
Cost is $35, $30 for members, and $12 for children. Buy tickets at https://tinyurl.com/yaklg3dw/.
