In Seattle, Sazan Environmental Services hired Kevin David as a commissioning agent, and Jack Newman and Sam Wright as green building consultants and promoted Max Osgood to full-time engineering technician. David oversees the commissioning and balancing of mechanical systems. Newman and Wright have had careers at the International Living Future Institute. Newman managed the Zero Energy Building Certification Program there, and Wright managed the Living Building Challenge. Their work focuses on net-zero energy and water programs, solar energy storage, materials toxicity avoidance and indoor air quality. Osgood graduated from Seattle Pacific University this year and was an intern at SES. The firm helps optimize building design and performance through third-party review services.
