AIA: New ways to combat runoff

Vegetation provides passive stormwater treatment, but urban parks must do it in small spaces.

AIA Seattle's Committee on the Environment will hold a free program on advancements that can help keep polluted runoff from rooftops, roadways and bridges from getting into Seattle's aquatic ecosystems. The event is from noon to 1 p.m. Oct. 25 at 1010 Western Ave.
