McIver charged with ethics violations

SEATTLE — Yesterday, the Seattle Ethics and Elections Commission charged Seattle City Council Member Richard McIver with violations of the Seattle Ethics Code.

The charging document says McIver allegedly violated the code when he participated in the award of a city contract to consulting firm Griffin, Hill & Associates. McIver's friend, Joann Francis, is affiliated with the firm.
