Honolulu to start shipping trash here
HONOLULU (AP) — Honolulu City officials say they've cleared the way to send giant wrapped packages to the mainland by July — big bundles of trash headed for the landfill at Roosevelt in Klickitat County.
The plan is to ship out more than 100,000 tons a year at a cost of $7 million.
