SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission says an Oregon-based construction company will pay $180,000 to a pair of former employees who were subject to racial taunts on a Salt Lake City work site.
The EEOC says a construction foreman for Emmert International and others harassed Jonathan Redmon by calling him the n-word and “boy.” Redmon says he wasn't put on a rehire list because of his complaints.
