Local equity firm buys SafeWorks

Seattle-based private equity firm Evergreen Pacific Partners said on Thursday it has bought SafeWorks, a Seattle manufacturer of suspended access machines used in construction and building maintenance. Terms of the deal were not released.

SafeWorks makes swing stages, traction and drum hoists, work baskets and fall protection gear under the Spider brand. It also makes similar products under Power Climber and Power Climber Wind brands. For the wind energy industry, it makes turbine service lifts, tower platform lifts, climb-assist systems, turbine blade access platforms and nacelle davits.
