State expects record apple crop this year

SPOKANE (AP) — The Washington Apple Commission is projecting that this year's crop will be the largest in state history.

The commission says Washington could have a crop of 140 million bushels this year, breaking the record of 128 bushels set in 2012. A bushel weighs 42 pounds.
