State reaches deal on union contracts

OLYMPIA (AP) — About 6,000 employees at the state Department of Corrections will receive a pay raise of nearly 10 percent over the next two years under an arbitration judgment.

The arbitration judgment came last week after Teamsters Local 117 and Gov. Jay Inslee's negotiating team reached an impasse, The Olympian reported Tuesday (http://bit.ly/1pEdTgw).
