Olympia hospital must pay B&O tax

OLYMPIA (AP) — Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia will have to start paying a city business tax that will cost it an estimated $340,000 next year.

The City Council voted Tuesday to remove the business and occupation tax exemption for religious and medical nonprofits with annual income of more than $30 million.
