Bessemer Trust opens in Seattle

SEATTLE — Bessemer Trust has opened an office in Seattle, focusing on investment management, tax strategies, estate planning and other services for wealthy clients.

It was founded in 1907 by Henry Phipps, co-founder of Carnegie Steel, and said it now oversees $103.4 billion for more than 2,300 clients. The company is based in New York and now has 17 offices.
