PORTLAND (AP) — Federal prosecutors have recommended a sentence of more than two years for a former Portland city official who pleaded guilty to taking bribes in exchange for steering a parking meter contract to a Florida company.
Agents raided the home and office of parking manager Ellis McCoy in 2011. He was accused of taking $56,000 in phony consultant fees, with a promise of more to come, and traveling extensively on the tab of George Levey of Tarpon Springs, Florida.
