$112M upgrade for emergency network

SEATTLE — Motorola Solutions is upgrading Puget Sound Emergency Radio Network under a $112 million contract that will bring digital radio technology to first responders in King County. The network covers 39 cities and 2 million people.

The project will take 55 months. County voters approved $273 million in overall spending for the network.
