Ore. pension deficit increases by 20%

PORTLAND (AP) — Oregon's pension funds for public employees continue to see low rates of return, putting upward pressure on payments the system's employees are required to make.

The Oregonian reports (http://is.gd/AnGJ6z ) that Oregon Treasurer Ted Wheeler issued a statement last week the fund's returns were 2.1 percent in 2015, 5.6 percentage points below the 7.75 percent assumed rate of return for 2015.
