Tribe to give $400K for sales tax effort

EVERETT (AP) — The Stillaguamish Tribe of Indians has pledged $400,000 toward a political campaign to raise the sales tax in Snohomish County for public-safety needs.

The Daily Herald reports that in all, the campaign received a half-million dollars in pledged donations last month, with the largest promise coming from the tribe.
