BEND, Ore. (AP) — The state has chosen an outside contractor to audit the Oregon Department of Transportation, kicking off an effort to pass a road-funding package during the 2017 legislative session.
The Bulletin reports that auditing ODOT is a central part of the road-funding package set to be considered by the Legislature in February, as some lawmakers don't see how they could support a transportation proposal without an independent audit of the $3.7 billion agency.
